Roaming Networks held its first Career Day. Chief Operating Officer, Dragan Travica and Chief Technical Officer, Marko Garić presented the company, its beginnings and development, as well as the “Engineer of the Future” program – professional education of final year students and graduates that we have been carrying out successfully in cooperation with faculties for years.
Saša Arsenović, Head of Planning, Construction and Maintenance of Access Networks, presented the company through his lecture Revolution in Mobile Networks – 5G Network, while Miloš Hasura, Head of Planning, Construction and Maintenance of Access and Transmission Systems, gave students the opportunity to learn more about transport technologies through his lecture Advanced Transmission Networks in Electrical Power Industry (EPS, EMS).
Nikola Djurović, Head of Planning, Construction and Maintenance of Passive Optical Networks, gave a presentation Fixed Networks of the New Generation. The main goal of the presentation was to teach students how, over the past several years, telecom operators respond to challenges of increasing user expectations, particularly in the fields of quality and Internet speed services.
After the lectures, Roaming Networks General Manager, Rade Vujović, as well as our company’s CEO in the United States, Nikola Petrović, shared experiences they gained from their most challenging projects in the country and abroad, thus allowing our future colleagues to learn first-hand about their future profession while talking to the company’s leading experts.
Spending time with students was organized in line with the Roaming Networks strategic decision to support education of young people and higher education institutions in Serbia.
Career Day was held at the Roaming Group Office Building Conference Room on November 29th, 2018.
